It is with great pleasure that we are inviting you to join and celebrate with us at a black tie gala event to be held at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington, DC commemorates Lakou Association’s 10th anniversary, as a nonprofit agency striving for the betterment of Haitians living overseas and in Haiti we have always believed partnership to be the backboned of durable socio-economic development.  As such, these ideals have governed all our initiatives and has enabled our institution to 
withstand the tests of times

 

Our theme this year, Haiti Stands: Building legacy for change, highlights our most potent goal, that is, to showcase the potentials of Haiti in the most positive way.  Haiti is now open for business, we want to showcase its vibrancy, the resilience of those living in the country and those others that have migrated to other countries as a catalyst for change.  Added to that we seize this wonderful moment to showcase our partners and the various agencies that are providing services to Haitians; have established business in Haiti or looking to serve the Haitian 
community, may they be from the bilateral agencies, public or private sector, working to build strong communities and making great impact in our world.

 

 

This event will engage elected officials from Haiti and the United States as it will pay tribute to six great Leaders from Haiti and the Haitian Community.  One of which being Haiti’s first lady, Madame Sophia Martelly; business and industry leaders, Mr. Marc Antoine Accra, emerging leaders such as Juno7 and many more.  

The event will feature performances by Haiti most notable artists, prominent corporation and international celebrities.   Publicity for this Gala will be massive and will reach thousands from the United States and abroad.  The gala is a large-scale fundraising events it offers vast networking opportunities both the evening of the gala which is Saturday, April 12th 2014; on Friday the 11th at the pre-event VIP reception, and the following Sunday the 13th at the literary event and book signage Scheduled at the Alliance Française in Washington, DC.

All proceeds of this event will go to the construction of the 1st of 5 Technical and Vocational school in Haiti for Youths, Adults and anyone who desire to learn a new trade.  To learn more about the Mozaik Institute click here

Through this program we provide school materials to parents for their children and equipments to underserved schools.
